Yarra Bend Golf has a mini golf course ‘Yarra Bend Adventure Golf’ which is next to the putting greens and golf house. It’s a great activity for the school holidays.
Lady AB was just old enough to use a mini golf club and understand the concept (thought not enough to know how to use a putter properly). We spent a really fun hour going through the 18 hole course (you can do a 36 hole course if you want).
As for as mini golf courses go Yarra Bend Adventure Golf is pretty stylish, sick with timber, turf and brick pathways winding amongst a native tree setting. No garish decorations involving gnomes!

The course has a good mix of easy and challenging holes, with a highlight being the tower at the middle of the course with the large turning windmill and the contraption at the 17th and 18th holes to use the ball to ring a bell and then deliver your ball back to the clubhouse through a windy aerial track.
For under 4s it only costs $6 to play the 18 holes and if you’re not playing but only supervising then you don’t have to pay the $14 adult rate. A cheap and fun way to learn some skills and kill an hour or so.
They take bookings for 20+ players and on our visit there was a big birthday party on the deck with a variety of delicious-looking BYO food and drinks, making Adventure Golf at Yarra Bend Golf a cheap party destination.
