Take the kids to Learning on the Edge on Friday 16 November and Saturday 17 November 2018 to discover the wonders of learning in unconventional ways!
The two-day festival features a series of mind-expanding interactive events in locations across Footscray. Put a twist on everyday learning and get out of your comfort zone!
A major feature of the program is Skills Street, hosted at Victoria University’s Nicholson campus on Saturday 17 November from 12 – 4pm. The campus will come alive with a range of learning opportunities across the areas of robotics and AI, health, trades, and sports and fitness. Drop in anytime for a range of free educational experiences, or book into a workshop.

This is a science show with a difference, where all rules are broken! Skunk Control are creating some big bangs during this interactive event suitable for the whole family.

2. Technology for Tomorrow
Teenagers will love this tech-focused workshop, where you can meet a NAO humanoid robot, put on a VU headset and experience the world of virtual reality, and watch a 3D printer transform an idea on the screen to something you can touch.

3. Food and Mood
Unpack your lunch box and discover how different types of food influences your mood.
This workshop will unveil variations of school and work lunchboxes, leaving you with an understanding of how varying food items in your daily lunch diet will stimulate and energise your day differently.
You’ll even get to prepare your own lunch box to take home with you!
