Check out the many Easter events happening in Melbourne and surrounds. Note that some events are free, some require tickets and pre-booking – so hop to it!

CBD / DOCKLANDS

  • Easter activities at Eureka Skydeck (Fri 30 Mar – Sun 15 Apr) – Kids Zone filled with drawing activities, including Bunny-ear making and Count the Bunnies competition to win an iPod.
  • Good Friday Appeal Kids Day Out at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (Fri 30 Mar) – Fun-filled family festival with sports clinics, the popular Teddy Bear Hospital, Woolworths Fair, kids cooking classes, rides, music, dancing and more.
  • Easter High Tea at The Westin (Fri 30 Mar – Mon 2 Apr) – Enjoy delicate finger sandwiches, classic scones and decadent, handcrafted treats including Easter egg vanilla cookies and chocolate carrot patch cups whilst you sip on the finest tea and coffee blends or glass of bubbles.
  • Kick for the Kids (Fri 30 Mar) – An thrilling AFL match between North Melbourne Football Club and St Kilda Football Club taking place in Etihad stadium in a round two game, raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
  • Grand Easter at Grand Hyatt (Sat 31 Mar – Sun 1 Apr) – decadent Easter Living Grand Sunday Lunch or a tantalising Easter High Tea with Easter activities and an Easter egg live decorating station.
  • Mad Hatters High Tea Stamford Hotel (Sat 31 Mar – Sun 1 Apr) – Alice in Wonderland themed high tea.
  • Sky High Easter High Tea (Sun 1 Apr) – SISKO Chocolate and Sofitel are collaborating to present a buffet style High Tea with Lace Egg Hot Chocolates, Orange and White Chocolate Carrots, Chocolate Nest Egg Tarts, Hot Cross Scones, Champagne and more, all with breathtaking views from 35 floors above ‘the ‘Paris End’ of Collins Street.
  • ACMI Family Sunday (Sun 1 Apr) – Enter an enchanting world of imagination and meet the Easter bunny with the magic of green screen, and build your own digital wonderland with everyone’s favourite block-based game Minecraft.

 

NORTH / NORTH-EAST

  • Easter at the Cat Lounge (Thu 29 Mar – Sun 1 Apr) – Take your family along for a relaxing and fun visit to the Neko Cat Lounge complete with a Cat themed retail store and Easter treaties bake sale. Tickets for Good Friday just $5! Bookings essential.
  • Zaatar Bakery Good Friday Appeal Coburg (Fri 30 Mar) –  live music, raffles, face painting, a jumping castle and carnival games to raise money for Good Friday Appeal.
  • The Larwill Open Studio (Fri 30 Mar) – Heaps of fun activities including a petting zoo, arts & crafts table, face painting, Easter Egg guessing competition, safari ride on animals and more!
  • Lollipops Playland Bundoora (Fri 30 Mar) – Family fun including face painting, balloon twisting and more. All proceeds from entry and the cafe will be donated to the Appeal.
  • Chocolate Festival Food Truck Park (Fri 30 Mar – Mon 2 Apr) – Chocolate lovers rejoice! This will be ultimate sweetener to finish off your week!
  • Members Easter Egg Hunt (Fri 30 Mar – Mon 2 Apr) – Member kids will need to hatch a plan and unscramble the clues for a chance to win an egg-cellent prize. Each day there’s a hamper choc-full of delicious fun to be won!
