Batman Market is a regular outdoor market and food truck park in Coburg and it’s got a wonderful community feel that’s at once cool and family-friendly.

The market is held at the site of the old textiles factory so it’s partially undercover and with parking on site.

Local traders and crafters set up market stalls with anything from terrariums to shoes.

The main attraction is the collection of street food vendors and food trucks as well as a bar at the front area.

On an given night you might try Korean twisty potatoes, Polish food and Mexican ice creams and every week there’s a different rotation of cuisines on offer.

The market also features free live music and for kids, a huge jumping castle ($3 for 10 minutes)!

We spend about 1 hour at Batman Market as many of the food vendors aren’t really open at 4:30pm when we arrive and the jumping castle is still being blown up. By 5pm it’s action stations! If you have kids it pays to go early to snap up a parking spot and eat quickly before the queues start.

Batman Market is a hit with Lady AB and Baby 2.0. It’s an easy Saturday night out with food, fun and great music in a relaxed atmosphere.
