The playground has a really interesting climbing at its centre (which is semi-shaded) and a separate toddler play area that’s under shade sails.
The centrepiece is a combination of ship, submarine and space ship – the nautical theme is an extension of the nearby aquatic centre.
There are climbing footholds all over its curved walls, slides, rope nets and ladders. Baby 2.0 finds some of the climbing challenging but manages to get up with a bit of perseverance. The ground is soft fall so provides a bit of cushioning if the re’s a slip!
In the toddler area are a bank of swings, a nest swing and a small climbing dome with a wall of sensory play.
There’s also adult exercise equipment at the site.
The playground has nearby shelter with tables, water tap and barbecue and a public toilet. A short distance away is family-friendly Woodcutters Kitchen.
