Little Big Shots is Australia’s premier film festival for kids and every year it brings the best of kids’ short films to ACMI.

This year we are invited to the Opening Night to watch The Best of the Fest, the best films from the festival as voted by the LBS Kids’ Jury. These short films are the best from across three categories: Best International, Best Australian and Best Film by a Kid.

Seven short films from around the world complete the program. It only lasts a total of 60 minutes which means it’s easily doable for a child 3+ years.

Lady AB votes the elegant film ‘The Sand Castle‘ as her favourite whereas Baby 2.0 loves Three Little Ninjas Delivery Service‘ because of the ‘Super nose’ featured in it (you’ll know what I mean when you see it!).

The Best Australian Adult-made Film is ‘The Orchestra‘ by Melburnian Mikey Hill and it is charming, whimsical and heart-warming.

You can make your visit to Little Big Shots part of a day’s adventure at ACMI, with the free Screen Worlds exhibition and the ACMI Bar & Cafe all open.
