Werribee Zoo is open late for ‘Rhythm of Africa’ every Saturday night in January and February and it’s a regular event on our summer itinerary. There’s live music, African-inspired food, dancing, drumming, hair braiding, kids activities, safari tours and a fun way to explore the zoo in the cool of a summer’s evening.
From 4:30-8:30pm, there’s an evening performance for kids before the headline act at 5:30pm. Safari Tours run until 6pm and the African Pula Trail, the walking track around the zoo, remains open until 8pm.
Rhythm of Africa is included as part of general admission, which means children under 16 are free and it’s included as part of your Zoos Victoria membership. No pre-booking or special tickets are required.
Rhythm of Africa is one of the events listed in the TOT summer holidays bucket list! Click here for more ideas for summer fun in Melbourne.
