The Braybrook Community Hub, an integrated community centre, library and early years centre, sports pavilion and men’s shed, has been open for 1 year and they’re celebrating from Saturday 19 March to Thursday 24 March with a calendar of free events.
While you’re there for the festivities also head across the road to the Churchill Avenue shopping strip in Braybrook and enjoy more free fun! I’ll be there next Tuesday 22 March and Wednesday 23 March to run the popular Box Car/Plane Workshop.
From 11-1pm each day I will host a FREE construction play event where families are invited to transform a cardboard box and other recycled materials into a racing car or aeroplane (inspired by the Lance Reichstein aeroplane playground which will hopefully be rebuilt soon).
Children can then participate in community races and run their creation down a makeshift race track/aeroplane runway converted from a nearby suburban street or laneway closed to traffic.
See you there!
