Scienceworks newest temporary exhibition Alice’s Wonderland is a fantastical journey through the Lewis Carroll classic ‘Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland’ and it’s a heap of fun!

The visit starts down the rabbit hole until you fall through the earth.

Lady AB loved this simple tunnel so much she went crawling through it a dozen times and even got me to follow her a couple of times (it’s big enough for an adult but hard on the knees!).

The rest of the exhibition is a series of fun and interactive activities which takes elements from the bizarre world of Alice in Wonderland and uses them to teach about maths, physics, biology and word games.

We spent about an hour inside Alice’s Wonderland and the activities are suitable for all ages though it’s targeted towards 3-8 year olds. It’s a really fun way to introduce science and maths concepts to young kids and if you’re bilingual there’s a bonus as some of the explanation panels are in Spanish!
