September school holidays are coming up soon (23 September – 11 October) which means that The Langham are once again offering their children’s high tea – and this time the theme is the Little Mermaid! It’s great timing as Lady AB is currently obsessed with mermaids (as well as princesses, fairies and ballet dancers – she’s such a girly cliche).
The Langham‘s twist on this Disney story includes a lemony ‘King Triton’ cupcake, a honey joy, blue Ocean Jelly, a Sebastian chocolate cakepop (my favourite character!), an Ursula Cookie, Starfish Fairy bread and the classic tea treats of ham and cheese sandwiches and scones with cream and jam.
The most popular item for Lady AB were the cookie, cupcake and fairy bread – there was lots of enthusiastic ‘yummy’ exclamations. She didn’t really know how to tackle the cakepop (picking it up and putting it down several times until I cut it open for her) and as for the jelly – oh the jelly is always a messy one. Next time I might just hide it from her :)
You can have the morning tea served with ‘Ariel Red Hair Lemonade’ or a large babycino that comes with not one, but two, fat marshmallows!
Once again The Langham have outdone themselves with their children’s high teas as this time the take-home activity was a 3D model set which we are hiding away for future present giving. It promises to provide hours of creative play and will help bring up lovely memories of a fun high tea experience.
